From Russia to Italy for Medical Training – Pirogov Students at Humanitas University


This summer Humanitas University has hosted four students of the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, Medical School of the Ministry Of Healthcare of the Russian Federation: Maria Frolova (6th year), Alexei Tzapir (6th year), Bajrta Mandzhieva (5th year) and Ilja Komarov (5th year).

Thanks to the Cooperation Agreement for Student Exchange between the two Universities, they have spent their annual summer internship practicing and assisting professionals in different departments of Humanitas Research Hospital (Oncology, Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology and Internal Medicine). 

Pirogov University Newspaper “The first impression of the structure has been that of a new, modern complex with an extensive system of education and training of the students.” – have told the students to the Pirogov University’s Newspaper – “Outpatient visits are extremely well organized, with an efficient customer service and reception system. Moreover, every patient visited is devoted all the time necessary for a complete diagnosis of his/her particular case.”

And when it comes to Humanitas’s Staff, Pirogov students haven’t spared compliments to “Prof. Torzilli, a great professional of hepatobiliary surgery, and the specialists of the Otolaryngology Department, who really do miracles in the operating room.”

“The training period at Humanitas has given an important contribute to our professional growth.” – finally commented the students.
