ISSNAF Annual Event 2016: Innovation through science
Innovation through science is the main theme of the event. The first panel, entirely focused on investment opportunities in Italy in the area of research and innovation, has hosted a presentation to the International community of the Human Technopole, the new research and innovation center that will rise in Milan, by Professor Roberto Cingolani, Director of IIT and lead of the Human Technopole.
“In science boundaries have no future and the collaborative networks like ISSNAF always more represent an added value in today’s world – said the President of the Foundation, Vito M Campese –. Our intent is to create a bridge over the Atlantic: thus, we are happy to give our support to Human Technopole. This may be the first of a series of projects to bring Italian researchers back home with all the knowledge they have developed abroad. But Human Technopole can also attract researchers from around the world”.
“Research and education are two of the main international bridges that can create innovative connections out of our national and personal boundaries” – comments Dr. Giorgio Ferrari, CEO of Humanitas University.
During the event, ISSNAF has awarded five young Italian scientists excelling in the US and Canada, working on leukemia, bioscience and cognitive science, engineering, mathematics and physics, environmental science, astrophysics and chemistry.
