Humanitas University students support Humanitas Hospitals and Research

Given the Covid-19 emergency which is affecting our country, some of our students have decided to support Humanitas Hospitals as well as one of our Research project.

During this difficult situation, Humanitas’ doctors, nurses and researchers are engaged daily in the treatment of COVID-19 patients, working relentlessly with passion and humanity in the wards, intensive care units and Emergency Rooms.

Our future doctors, nurses and physiotherapists have decided to actively support their professors, tutors and colleagues and they have independently organised two fundraising campaigns on the crowdfunding platform GoFundME:

  • some of our medical students decided to support the Research project of Humanitas University, coordinated by Prof. Mantovani and Prof. Garlanda to clarify the immune system responses to the Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2,
  • some of our nursing students decided to help with the provisions of necessary materials for the Intensive and Sub-intensive Care Units of Humanitas Gavazzeni and Castelli, two hospitals in Bergamo that are working tirelessly to fight the virus that is affecting the city.

But that’s not all. More and more students expressed the wish to support all the hospitals, including the Humanitas Research Hospital in Rozzano, sharing all the useful information for the fundraising campaign, online at: https://donazioni.humanitas.it .

Our students are not only attending with dedication and responsibility the lessons that are regularly and currently hold in live streaming, but they are continuously showing that they are part of the Humanitas community and they have fully understood the role they will have to play in the coming years.

We could not be more proud. Thank you very much.
