Doctors at the mirror – Medice cura te ipsum @ Hunimed


IMG_2811 Humanitas University has organized this two-seminar event on the doctor-patient relationship with the purpose of stimulating a reflection on the patients’ needs, thoughts and sensitivity and what it means to be a healthcare professional, or anyone else who has direct contact with a IMG_2827patient.

The first meeting, dedicated to the importance of hope, took place today and was led by a well-known psychologist, together with the chaplain of the Cancer Institute of Milan. 

The theme aroused good interest among the participants, inducing a lively interaction of the students.IMG_2823

The second meeting (March 21) will focus on the reason why people choose to become a doctor or a nurse. The seminar will be jointly led by a well-known American sociologist and an Italian doctor who teaches at Harvard Medical School and works at the MGH in Boston.
