2017 Humanitas Research Day


Among the top 10% research institutes worldwide according to the “Excellence Rank” of Scimago Research Group, Humanitas is a world-famous center of excellence for research and treatment of immune system-related diseases of various types of cancer, cardiovascular diseases as well as inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.

Annually held and greatly anticipated, Humanitas Research Day is an opportunity to get to know more about Humanitas’s different research activities and areas, including clinical and preclinical research.

The rich program was coordinated by Prof. Carmelo Carlo-Stella, Prof. Antonio Costanzo and Prof. Domenico Mavilio, was divided into three main sessions, introduced and concluded by Prof. Alberto Mantovani, Humanitas Scientific Director.

During the morning, four tracks were presented (cardiology, oncology, neuroscience and immunology). After the lunchtime poster session, the afternoon session provided an overview of the results and the future challenges, focusing on the latest advancements in translational medicine and on the presentation of selected studies.
