Associate Professor of Dermatology and Venereology

Riccardo Borroni, MD, PhD, graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pavia, Italy, in 2002. He completed his residency in dermatology and venereology at the Sapienza University of Rome in 2006, after training in skin pathology at the Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology in New York, USA and at the Medical University of Graz, Austria.

From 2008 to 2009 he was visiting fellow at the Pharmacogenomics laboratory of the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology ETH Zurich, Switzerland.

In 2010 he obtained his PhD in Molecular and Regenerative Medicine from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy. From 2010 he served as a postdoctoral fellow at the Fondazione IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo in Pavia, Italy.

In 2017, he joined Humanitas University as an Assistant Professor, and there he was appointed Associate Professor of Dermatology and Venereology in 2019.

Prof. Riccardo Borroni is the recipient of several awards, including the Italian Society of Dermatology and Venereology (SIDeMaST) Fellowship Award in 2008 and in 2009. He authored more than 50 papers on indexed journals and serves as a reviewer for journals in the field of dermatology on a regular basis.
