Humanitas University Commended for Research Quality in the ANVUR Report
Tuesday, 21 February 2017, ANVUR (Agenzia Nazionale di del sistema Universitario e della Ricerca – National Agency for the Evaluation of [Italian] Universities and Research Institutes) published its report on Evaluation of Research Quality (Valutazione della Qualità della Ricerca -VQR) 2011-2014.
“First among small universities in the medical area.” – Rector Marco Montorsi.
The report’s aim is to compare the results of scientific research conducted by State and non-State universities, by public research institutes under the aegis of the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MUIR), and by other public and private bodies that conduct research.
Included among the Milanese universities with degree programmes in the medical sciences is Humanitas University, despite its being inaugurated only in 2014.
“I am very pleased with the result achieved in VQR, where our university was ranked among the best universities in our areas of interest, and especially because we were ranked first among small universities in the medical area,” said Chancellor Marco Montorsi.
“The scientific works produced by the faculty of Humanitas University were judged excellent in 90% of cases. I believe that this fact testifies to the attention our recruitment policies give to quality. Given our “young age,” this result will motivate us to do more and better, all the while maintaining the high quality of our actions so as to grow further in the coming years.”
