964 applicants from 16 countries for Medicine and Nursing. Admission test for Humanitas University


140 places available for the courses starting in October 2014: Medical School in English and Nursing School in Italian

The test will be held in Milan and at additional 13 centres across Europe

Rozzano, September 12th 2014 –The admission test for the 2014/15 intake of the Humanitas University Medical School and Nursing School will take place respectively on September 15th and 16th. 964 applicants coming from 16 countries (among whom England, Ireland, Greece, France and Sweden) will compete for the 140 places available (100 for Medicine and 40 for Nursing).

The admission test for Nursing will be held at Humanitas University, while the test for Medicine – IMAT, International Medical Admissions Test, in English and delivered by Admissions Testing Service, part of Cambridge Assessment, will take place at the same time in the Mediolanum Forum of Assago (Milan) and in other 13 European cities: London, Paris, Barcelona, Munich, Stockholm, Helsinki, Athens, Wien, Dublin, Manchester, Hamburg, Reykiavik, Zurich. This year the Ministerial Decree does not permit the admission of non-European students.

For the Medical school there are 739 applicants (503 are women). The test includes 60 multiple-choice questions in English: 4 of General culture, 23 of Logical reasoning, 15 of Biology, 10 of Chemistry, 8 among Physics and Mathematics. The test lasts for 100 minutes. Every correct answer scores 1.5 points, while for every wrong answer there is a 0.4 point penalty. The minimum score for admission is 20/90.

The ranking wil be published on September 26th on the University website. Admitted students will be able to enroll from September 27th to October 7th.

The aspiring nurses are 225 (166 are women). The admission test includes 60 multiple choice questions: 4 of General culture, 23 of Logical reasoning, 15 of Biology, 10 of Chemistry, 8 among Physics and Mathematics. Candidates have 100 minutes to complete the test. The ranking will be published on the website on September 19th, and admitted students will be able to enroll from September 20th to October 7th.

A.Y. 2014/2015 is the first year of activity of Humanitas University, not-for-profit private institution dedicated to the Medical sciences and strictly integrated with the identity of the Humanitas Research hospital in Milan and the Humanitas Foundation for Research. The University will enlarge its educational offer with further degree courses, master degrees, Ph.D. courses, residencies and other professional courses. Fully operating, Humanitas University will be able to host more than 800 students.
