Welcome September

Dear students,

We are extremely pleased to congratulate you all on entering into the new academic year, another important step towards building your education pathway. From September, lessons will begin again, an important sign of a return to normality after the past months, which have changed and deeply affected us all, but which have also given us the opportunity to redesign the future of our teaching and learning practices.

Undoubtedly, our main aim is to continue to provide quality teaching and learning through increasingly innovative ways that will allow you to fully take advantage of your university experience.

However, we also firmly believe in the importance of your personal growth and development through being able to build and maintain social relationships with your fellow students and professors, while ensuring your safety and appropriate social distancing. Yet, clearly, we also have a duty to guarantee access to lessons for those who are unable to attend the University Campus.

Such considerations have  led us to develop a blended approach to our teaching activities: all lessons will be offered in streaming and on demand so that each and every one of you, even those who live far away and have difficulty in returning to Campus life, can easily follow all the lessons. Simultaneously, we have also planned for attendance in person at Hunimed: we have reorganised our small group activities, in order to promote greater interaction. and we have also improved accessibilty to the Simulation Center and the CUBE.

From September onwards, the professionalizing activities will also start up again: these will all be carefully planned in collaboration with the Humanitas Group hospitals and network structures, in order to allow you to carry out your clinical training placements in a safe and structured way.

We will be sending you detailed information for each degree programme from the heads of study.

We have had the opportunity to redesign the future, and it is a pleasure to be able to do so together with you.

It only remains for me to wish you all a very good summer and we look forward to seeing you in September.
